NCSB Announces Partnership with Local D-I Student-Athletes

Canton, NY – January 12th, 2025 – North Country Savings Bank is proud to announce a Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) sponsorship deal with five exceptional local student-athletes who have demonstrated the spirit of North Country pride and dedication. The bank has partnered with Kennedy Wilson and Kennedy Emerson from the St. Lawrence University Women's Hockey team, Will Arquiett from the St. Lawrence University Men's Hockey team, Carter Rose from the Clarkson University Men's Hockey team, and Haley Winn from the Clarkson University Women's Hockey team. Each of these players will represent the bank as a Brand Ambassador. This sponsorship agreement marks the first major NIL deals for student-athletes at both St. Lawrence University and Clarkson University and is part of North Country Savings Bank’s commitment to supporting local talent and celebrating the hard work, determination, and success these student-athletes have achieved in their careers.

“Here in the North Country, we value resilience, dedication, and community—qualities embodied by these student-athletes,” said R. Brian Coakley, President & CEO of North Country Savings Bank. “We are thrilled to partner with these talented individuals who not only excel on the ice but also represent the ideals of our community. They inspire us all with their commitment to excellence, and we look forward to supporting them as they continue to pursue their athletic and academic goals.”

A Partnership Rooted in North Country Values

Four of the five selected Brand Ambassadors have ties to the North Country, with Carter Rose and Will Arquiett hailing from Brasher Falls, NY, and Kennedy Wilson and Kennedy Emerson having grown up in Potsdam, NY. The fifth student-athlete, Haley Winn, who is from the Rochester area, is a member of Team USA and will compete in the upcoming 2026 Winter Olympics. In addition to promoting the bank through various platforms, the student-athletes will participate in autograph sessions and other initiatives aimed at raising brand awareness while furthering the relationship between the bank and the North Country community.

To kick off the partnership, North Country Savings Bank hosted an autograph session at Pine Street Arena in Potsdam, NY, on January 8, 2025, during the Boys Varsity Hockey contest between Potsdam and Canton. Fans were invited to meet Kennedy Emerson, Kennedy Wilson, and Will Arquiett while receiving an autograph on either an item of their own or a photograph provided by North Country Savings Bank. This sponsorship marks the beginning of North Country Savings Bank’s commitment to supporting local athletes. The bank is excited to announce that additional partnerships with other student-athletes will be revealed in the future, as part of their ongoing mission to invest in the success of the region's rising stars.
