Jenny Bradish Returns to Potsdam as Regional Loan Originator
For Jenny Bradish, a Regional Loan Originator at North Country Savings Bank, returning to the Potsdam Branch is a full-circle moment. It’s a chance to come back to where her career in banking began, and to reconnect with a community she knows well and cares for.
Born in Lake Clear, a small town near Saranac Lake, Jenny grew up with a deep sense of connection to her roots. As the youngest of six children, she spent much of her childhood beside her grandparents and great-grandparents on their farm. That rural upbringing instilled in her a strong sense of community and family, which she’s carried into every aspect of her career.
When she moved to Potsdam in 2017, Jenny initially worked as a teller at NCSB’s Potsdam branch while also assisting in the bank's accounting department. "Getting into banking, I didn’t really know what to think or expect," she admits. But her love of customer service made the transition smooth. "It was really customer-facing work, and I loved it."
Her career quickly evolved, taking her first to Malone, where she started as a loan originator, and eventually to the opening of the Saranac Lake lending office. There, she had the opportunity to work independently for three years—an experience that reinforced her love for helping people in her hometown achieve their dreams of homeownership.
In 2022, Jenny and her husband, Jay, made the decision to return to Potsdam, where they had always hoped to return one day. "Being back here, we're close to my husband's family camp on Higley, where we spend as much time as we can boating and enjoying family and friends," she says. In addition to this, Jay serves as an assistant chief at the Potsdam Fire Department. The couple’s return to Potsdam also coincided with the arrival of their first daughter in July 2024.
With roots firmly planted in the community, Jenny’s return to the Potsdam branch in March 2025 marks an exciting new chapter in her career. "Coming back to Potsdam has brought us back to so many things we love, and now we’re raising our family here," she shares. “It's a place that feels like home in every sense, and it’s where my journey at NCSB first started."
One of the aspects of NCSB that excites her is the bank’s flexibility. "We can offer a wide variety of loans, from land loans and new construction to purchase-plus-improvements. There isn’t much we can’t tackle," Jenny explains. It’s this versatility that gives her the opportunity to serve a wide range of customers and to work closely with them to find the best solutions.
For Jenny, communication is key. Her approach to customer service is based on being fully engaged in every file and ensuring that her clients always feel informed and at ease throughout the lending process. For anyone looking to buy a home or explore mortgage options, Jenny’s advice is simple: "Come chat with me before making any firm plans. Let’s rule out all the options we have and see what fits best. And if you’re purchasing, pre-approval letters are key—getting pre-approved can make a huge difference!"
Looking ahead, Jenny is excited about the future and the opportunities to help even more people in her community. "Seven years ago, when I started at NCSB, I didn’t know what my future would look like. Now, I look back at the growth I’ve made, and I can’t imagine being anywhere else. I’m so thankful for everything I’ve learned and the people I’ve met along the way.”
NCSB is an equal housing lender.
